Both [tag]Sony[/tag] and [tag]LG Phillips[/tag] have revealed ultra thin displays over the past couple of weeks. Though only prototypes the [tag]OLED[/tag] (Organic light emitting diode) technology used in these displays allows high resolution in glorious 16.7 million colours. The LG 4-inch prototype has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and can reproduce 16.77 million colors, whilst being just 150 μm thick.

Sony has been showing off it’s 2.5-inch prototype display, which is just .3-mm thick, and its flexible full-color display has a resolution of 169×120. The viral video can be seen via [tag]YouTube[/tag]
