Both Sony and LG Phillips have revealed ultra thin displays over the past couple of weeks. Though only prototypes the OLED (Organic light emitting diode) technology used in these displays allows high resolution in glorious 16.7 million colours. The LG 4-inch prototype has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and can reproduce 16.77 million colors, whilst being just 150 μm thick.
Sony has been showing off it’s 2.5-inch prototype display, which is just .3-mm thick, and its flexible full-color display has a resolution of 169×120. The viral video can be seen via YouTube
