Yes you read correctly. According to the World’s best known PC selling company PC World, the [tag]Apple MacBook Pro[/tag] is the [tag]fastest Vista Notebook[/tag]! Can you believe that. If you want to have a fast Vista notebook, then [tag]get a MacBook Pro[/tag].
MacBook Pro beats out the competition for Fastest Vista Notebook
The Apple MacBook Pro beat out competition from Dell, Toshiba and others to be crowned the fastest Vista Notebook. Unlike PCW Magazine though, I disagree with the notion that Apple “…couldn’t care less whether you run Windows”.
You think Apple went Intel for no reason? You think there are versions of popular Windows applications for the Mac for no reason? Apple has the creative market all but sewn up, but to be fair, the relative cheapness of PC’s, applications for PC’s and replacement parts for PC’s has hurt Apple’s market share even in it’s core market. Amongst Zealots, there will never be anything better than a Mac, however most notebook users are within the business market. They use spreadsheets, write documents and send emails.
Apple has been producing more and more products to capture a younger and more ‘free spirited market’. iPods and iPhones, integrating iTunes and iPhoto making it easy for your notebook to be a thing you use to entertain, not just for work. However most PC users do just that, they use their computers for work and Apple needs to gain market share in the business place.
There is anecdotal evidence however, that Apple is gaining market share amongst business users, especially those involved with web technologies. Apple’s move to a N*x base underlying their OS X operating system has convinced many web developers, traditional PC users, to convert to the platform.
Growing frustration with the slow running Vista hasn’t help it gain acceptance amongst PC users. Many revert to XP rather than labour with the new Microsoft Baby. Users don’t want to be frustrated by their PC, they want it to work, they want their new one to be faster than their old one. Gamers in particular don’t want their operating system to slow their progress.
If you have a need for speed, and want to know which is the fastest Vista notebook, forget about getting a Dell, A Toshiba or even a Sony. Forget them all. If you want a fast Vista Notebook get the Apple MacBook Pro, it’s the fastest.
